I spotted some interesting knick-knaocks, like a tiny Limoges decorative bowl and some bone china stuff but nothing that wowed me (or that I wanted to haul around until I get back to the US, for that matter). I DID find a decent book selection, though! I got 5 books for £17/$22 USD, which I think is pretty good.

2. Tales of the Alhambra by Washington Irving (comes with a soundtrack CD!)
3. Women Who Run with the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes
4. I Planted Trees by Richard St. Barber Baker
5. Peregrinations of a Pariah by Flora Tristan, translated by Jean Hawkes
I'm pretty sure I have at least one of these books as an ebook already, but whatever. Now I need to track down a CD player...

New BNHA fic: Grounding (Dabi/Hawks)
Jan. 22nd, 2026 07:02 amvriddyWrote most of this during the blergh days last week. I started this Hugging series while touch-starved during the covid lockdowns, but there's something grounding about focusing on the senses like these fics usually do. It helps.
Obviously a sense of grounding also adds to the angst considering Hawks can fly and what Dabi does to his wings later in canon, but! The baked-in angst is part of their charm and appeal ;)

It may or may not be anybody’s fault, exactly – except the alien locusts – but it sure is inconvenient! Write a story about inconveniences. If your submission features cats (alien cat-ish things count), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |

I've never made a moodboard for a published fic in my life, but apparently for some reason I decided it was time to learn how to use Canva and also how to put stock photos and cropped canon art into pretty patterns. So...have a moodboard for Sonata in F You, my longest Ace Attorney fic and also my favorite.

I am so happy. There's very few fanworks for the series out there, I think the fanart we found can still be counted on one hand. (There was cosplay too :D) Including this lovely piece!! THIS FANDOM IS GROWING EVERY DAY CLEARLY \o/
